Smoothly merge several A2L files
It’s a common pattern to organize a software by dividing it into several components. These components have their own A2L file. The A2L files for these components can be generated by the tool which generates the C-code, for example Simulink, hand-written or generated by UeAl2Creator.
Regardless of how they’re created the A2L files describing the components must be merged into a single A2L file before they can be used with a measurement and calibration tool such as ATI Vision, Vector CANape, ETAS INCA etc. UeA2lMerge accomplishes this task smoothly. The flowchart below illustrates the process.
- Command line interface makes it ideal to integrate in a software build environment.
- Merge groups with identical name or abort merge with error message according to command line switch.
- Merge functions with identical name or abort merge with error message according to command line switch.
